Dear Wine Lover,
The Heritage auction, held in June 2018, brought together an extraordinary collection: 855 bottles and 209 magnums — the exact number of wines resting in Domaine Henri Jayer’s cellar at that time.
The bottles from the private cellar of Henri Jayer achieved a world-record total of CHF 34.5 million, making it the largest wine auction ever held to this day.
The very last bottles from Henri Jayer’s cellar have since become priceless treasures for admirers of this legendary vigneron. These wines were kept and stored by Henri Jayer himself, carefully listed in his cellar book, until Baghera/wines arranged their transfer to the Geneva FreePort in February 2018.
A prominent collector based in Switzerland, who acquired several of these bottles during the sale, has kept them in bond in Baghera’s warehouse ever since — untouched, unmoved, perfectly preserved.
We are now delighted to offer you a selection of these exceptional wines, presented in original single wooden cases and carrying what is, without question, one of the greatest provenances imaginable.
We know for a fact that more than half of the wines from the Heritage auction have already been opened and enjoyed… which makes this opportunity even rarer. We are therefore pleased to present you with this exceptional offering — and a perfect way to say: Merry Christmas to all!
